Who we are

TopDog is a free prediction game operated from the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK GDPR we are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at privacy@topdog.global.

What we collect

• Your email address, because it is how you sign in. We do not store a password — we email you a link instead.
• A display name, which you choose and which other players can see on league tables and leaderboards.
• Your predictions and the results of them.
• Technical logs, including your IP address and browser type, kept by our hosting and authentication providers for security and abuse prevention.
• If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google. We do not receive your Google password.

Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

• To run the game and your account — performance of a contract.
• To send you gameweek reminders and result summaries — consent, which you give when you register and can withdraw at any time from your account settings or the unsubscribe link in any email.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse — legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We use a small number of processors who handle it on our behalf:

• Supabase — database and authentication, hosted in London (eu-west-2)
• Netlify — website hosting and delivery
• Resend — sending our emails
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google

How long we keep it

We keep your account and prediction history for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account we remove your email address, display name and predictions within 30 days. Technical logs are kept for a short period by our providers as part of their normal operation.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. Email privacy@topdog.global and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with our response you can complain to theInformation Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in. That is strictly necessary for the site to work, so it does not require your consent. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

No gambling

TopDog is played entirely with fake £10 fantasy stakes. No real money is staked, won or paid out, and there are no prizes.
